Amazing Product For Price
The ASUS ROG Strix line continues to impress with its balance of raw power, sleek design, and gamer-focused features. Whether you’re diving into the latest AAA titles or pushing through demanding creative workloads, this machine holds up with confidence.Performance:Equipped with high-end AMD Ryzen or Intel Core processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs, the ROG Strix handles multitasking, streaming, and gaming with ease. It maintains high frame rates on ultra settings in titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Elden Ring. Thermal performance is solid thanks to ASUS’s advanced cooling system, though it can get loud under full load.Display:Most models offer a fast, vibrant display—ranging from Full HD 300Hz panels for competitive gaming to QHD 165Hz screens for a more immersive visual experience. The color accuracy is decent for content creation, though creators might prefer an external calibrated monitor for critical work.Build & Design:The laptop sports an aggressive, gamer-centric aesthetic with RGB lighting zones, a customizable light bar, and bold angles. It’s sturdy but slightly on the heavier side, so it’s more of a portable desktop replacement than an ultra-mobile device.Keyboard & Trackpad:The keyboard is tactile and responsive, perfect for gaming marathons. The RGB lighting is fully customizable via Armoury Crate. The trackpad is large and accurate, though most gamers will opt for a dedicated mouse.Battery Life:Like most gaming laptops, battery life isn’t its strong suit. Expect around 4–6 hours with light use, and much less during gaming. However, fast charging support helps top it up quickly.Software & Features:ASUS Armoury Crate is your hub for performance tuning, lighting, and system monitoring. Bloatware is minimal, which is always appreciated.Verdict:The ASUS ROG Strix is a beastly laptop that delivers top-tier gaming performance, premium build quality, and enough customization to please any enthusiast. It’s not the most portable option, but if power is your priority, this rig won’t disappoint.

Good gaming laptop
I’ve been using this laptop for quite a while now it has been working great, it can get a bit overheated but that seems the norm for gaming laptops at least in my experience. The shifting colors on the light up keyboard is what sold me on this one and I think it was definitely worth the purchase.

works well so far
update 4/21/2025:had this laptop for over a year now and its been good to me. i use it attached to my monitor and leave it plugged in 24/7. helps with screen tearing and works well as a second monitor :)og review:been playing valorant and it runs smoothly on 144fps BUT it needs to be plugged in or else it lags and the battery dies super fast. im still working on finding the optimal settings.the bottom of the screen tears a bit but only when i run fps games so idk if thats a problem with the device or just my in game settings.the fans are loud especially when playing games or downloading things. unless the laptop is fully powered down, i can always hear the fans even when i have nothing running and the lid is closed. (however this is my first gaming laptop so im not sure how it is compared to others)

G513RC-EH71 has no per key RGB
Bought this G513RC-EH71 during black Friday sale for $799. This is a 4 panel RGB keyboard, not per-key RGB. I selected the 1TB option, but the ASUS website specs said it was 512gb drive, which I received. I only play Shadow of the Tomb Raider and it runs at ~100 fps on high settings. I tried the MUX settings and other settings in Armoury Crate, and it made little difference, so I left it at the Optimized setting. I also set the AURA lights so that it displays CPU temperature, green, yellow, red. After installing said game from Steam, I had 75% of my SDD left, so I upgraded the SDD to 4TB and upgraded the ram to 64mb using Crucial components.I like that it can charge through the proprietary power input, or through a USB-C port (100w). HDMI video out and USB-C video out all work like a charm.Overall I'm pleased with the performance of this laptop.

no ram
useful for small indie games and browser. not for mid-big games. 8gb of ram is atrocious in 2020's. you can do better

The screen died and now the laptop is useless.
I don't have more than 7 Months with the new laptop and I have take care of it so much, but the other day the screen just stopped working. I did all that technical support of ASUS told me to do but nothing worked so it looks like the screen came with failures because thecnics of ASUS told me it is a hardware problem. The laptop is in warranty right now but asus doesn't give any option or solution more than send the laptop from my country all the way to US just for a repair, something that doesn't have any sense. To purchase this laptop was a very disgusting experience. Don't buy it, never recommended and the attention is terrible.

Gran Calidad

Mouse pat on left side
The mouse pad is oriented toward the left side of the keyboard making it awkward to reach for a R handed person. The on off touch switch is located on the left side of the computer in a place that is naturally place to pick the computer up therefore making it very easy to inadvertently turn off. Way to go engineers . . . you could only think of this.
