Great Book!
I was so happy when I took this book out of the box and started looking through it. It's gorgeous and I can't wait to try some of the recipes. I love to grow herbs, but I haven't really used many fresh herbs in my cooking because I don't feel like i know enough about it. I think this book will help change that. It not only has a lot of good looking recipes, it tells all about different herbs and how strong their flavors are, how to use them, what to use them in, how to grow and harvest them, and more. Anyone interested in cooking with herbs will love this book.

Looks like very good recipes
Looks like very good recipes. Haven't has a chance to try any yet. Very through explanation of herbs and what they were best used for. That I enjoyed as I had no idea.

Easy to use
Most of the recipes have ingredients that most pantries have on hand. I made 2 recipes so far and my family loved them. Looking forward to trying more.

Fantastic cookbook for using herbs
I really like this book--Favorite Recipes With Herbs--compiled by Dawn Ranck. I especially love that the index includes a comprehensive index of all the recipes in the book but there are also indexes for each individual herb.Have tried several of the recipes that were all outstanding. A favorite is the Chicken with Rosemary & Wine. I substituted Thyme for the rosemary since that's what we have growing in our garden (no rosemary) and it was a hit with my family.So many different recipes to try. If you love herbs this is THE cookbook for you!

A Book of Herbal Delights
At some point a few years ago--we no longer can agree on when--my wife got hold of this recipe book. At first, I remained indifferent to what Dawn and Phyllis had pulled together, but then I found the recipe for Supreme Herb Chicken, submitted by Anna L. Brown of Manchester, ME. Using a mix of fresh herbs--marjoram, thyme, savory, sage, fennel, basil, rosemary, and/or lavender (no choice, actually, the truly supreme herb, I have since concluded)--this sold me on the book. Ever since, meal after meal, we have turned to FAVORITE RECIPES WITH HERBS to find our next meal. What a joy, each time, to find new ways to cook meats, prepare salads, and in general flavor our food with fresh herbs, many of them out of our garden. We strongly recommend this book, made ever more special because each recipe comes with the name of an individual from somewhere in the country who has developed it and made it available to us. Thanks, Dawn and Phyllis, for all the pleasures of eating you have provided us.

Information on the different herbs was good and informing. The recipes were not that great.

Herb recipes developed by loving herb growers
I found this book at an county Herb Group and loved it. I had to have it so thank you for your inventory including this title and prompt service in mailing. I have already used many of the recipes.
