Installed this igniter in a 90's Kenmore oven, so far has worked very well, as for longivity only had it one or two weeks so time will tell.

The local shops wanted 3xs what I paid for this for a used part. This fit my 1984 Sears/Kenmore oven. Easy to install, works great.

Seems that this is a rather universal part. As others have noted, getting a 1/4" hex-head tool in there, you might even need a flex extension and socket to unscrew the hardest of 2 screws, along with a wrench and enough brain to figure out that the terminal-ended wire probably fits onto one end, and a wire nut required on the other wire. Try pulling out the bottom tray of your oven, along with removing the oven-area bottom panel, before looking too hard at the oven's back side for connectors that may be inaccessible from oven rear!

This replacement part was delivered on time and was a perfect fit in my Whirlpool range. While the leads didn't include the matching connector for my appliance, it did include wire nuts that I used to splice it to the leads from the old unit. In total, it was a 20 minute replacement that worked as expected. It also came with a mounting bracket that wasn't needed for my install.

Part is well made with accessories for different installations. It is not OEM. It installed easily in GE JGBP28 series gas range. This installation is for advanced beginner to intermediate skill level and takes about 45 min. Some disassembly of the oven is required. Only one ceramic wire nut was needed for my installation. The part arrived in two days and was well packaged. Match the part by visual comparison; a comprehensive parts cross listing is not given. My original part did not have an ignitor protector; this replacement does, which is an improvement. I did not find my oven model no in any of the parts compatibility lists, yet it fit perfectly. I do not have any issues with gas smell as reported for some ignitors. Gas ignition was immediate when gas valve cycles open.
