If you are looking for clear craft ice, this is definitely the best alternative. It creates really nice round glass ice. Make sure you fit the lids together the right way or it’s harder but not difficult to get apart. The ice rounds come out very well shaped. Sometimes there’s a little bit of a divit in it from where it might not have filled it all the way but to me that’s ok - it sits ok in the glass. I’d have to give this all 5 stars because the set makes 16 at a time. Perfect for guests.

We have an icemaker at home that makes these. However, they don't make them fast enough. We get three balls per day. My wife and son both battle for it. Solution: buy a mold. This was so easy to fill. And less than 24 hours later, I had 16 ice balls. It wasn't terrible difficult to remove the lid and release the balls from the mold, but they don't just fall out either. A little force is required.Unfortunately, at 2.5 inches each, they are too large for the cups they both use. But don't let that stop you from ordering. As long as your cups have wide mouths, you'll love these. Five stars despite my return.

Easy to use. Hopefully it doesn't smell like mold like the silicone ones do after a while. Need to let it sit for a bit to get the cubes out, but it's ok.

I like that these are solid enough to stack and are very stable in the freezer. These trays take up less space than the individual ice sphere molds. The ice sphere come out perfect every time (they are not crystal clear but are solid spheres). However, they are not easy to twist to pop out ice. I have to pour a little water on the backside of tray to loosen the cubes, then they pop out.

These are in constant use. I love the fact that i only need to use one ice cube rather than many. They melt slower than a lot of small cubes. The instructions say to let them sit on the counter for a couple of minutes before unmolding. And that works great. But when filling with water remember to rinse out the three buttons that hold the two parts of the mold together because you will not get the top on properly if they have ice in them, and you will be frustrated until you figure it out. But I love these.

Works just like it says and easy to use

I wanted these so I could make ice balls to put in a water bottle and stay cold for a long time on hot hikes. First, they don’t fit any bottle. Too big. Second, they are hard to use. Once frozen, the trays take some doing to separate - running under warm water and then sitting out for a few minutes- then you have to work to pry the top and bottom apart. Once that’s done you twist, but these are not average trays. They are made of thick rigid plastic that do not twist easily at all except maybe for a very large, strong man. I was additionally disappointed when I discovered they’ve been substantially discounted from the price I paid when I purchased on prime day, making me question the honor of the company. All in all, I think this wasn’t a good purchase for me. The silicone molds are much easier!On the pro side, it does make nice, large, almost completely round ice balls.

I bought this for my husband to use for work. The design is perfect and it doesn’t make a mess makes perfectly round balls in his easy to remove the ice balls but the ice balls are large and will fill up the entire glass. But apparently that’s a good thing when it’s a whiskey in your glass. The balls don’t really melt that fast so it doesn’t water down your drink.

Love that it came with its own storage container & cute tongs. Once I figured out how to use it it now makes perfect circle cubes. Super easy to use & cubes release very easily. Highly recommend.

Funktioniert super, aber die Kugeln sind selbst für Whiskeygläser zu groß. 1-2cm weniger im Durchmesser wären für alle Anwendungsfälle ideal, aber die Größe ist leider nicht erhältlich.
