Bought this as an ammo storage cabinet. I’m an avid target shooter, and ammo security is important to me. This can’t be fireproof as far as I can tell but actually glad so the contents can breathe. They do include a fire bag for certain items or documents. If you have dealt with a fire and waterproof safe it’s a lot of work and concern to keep humidity in check. This is not going to be an issue with this.I opened the box, it was a single box and the item was in perfect condition. There were heavy duty corner protectors and paper to prevent scratches and dents. The box was strong enough to support the safe without issue.This was easy to install, and once I decide where it will go permanently, it is just sitting there filled with ammo that probably makes it weigh 500lbs or more. So it’s not going anywhere. It is easy to add door contacts and add to my home security system so I’ll get notified if either of the doors is opened.It has a nice black finish and the trim pieces are in good shape. The lock bolts are serious and they I feel they provide for decent security. The unlock twist handles are actually a benefit because you can’t try to break in by turning them hard, the dial doesn’t feel like it would allow that.At 8 cubic feet I’m glad I went big vs. smaller because I am going to use all of the space and feels good to have the space to use up.There is a set of keys for the hidden box in the bottom of the bottom section. I probably won’t be using that feature but nice to have. There are also emergency keys to get in, and battery packs to use if the batteries go out and your keys don’t work.There are lights for each section, in the door, that provides about 20 seconds of light automatically when the doors are opened. Nice touch and adequate for seeing what you need to see.The shelves are very sturdy but can be removed. You can see it supports a lot of ammo and that is helpful. Was worried about that but not an issue.The reviews for these kinds of boxes are all over the place but I’m here to say this one is a winner. It isn’t Fort Knox but I didn’t expect it either. A cabinet that can be locked and alarmed was all I was hoping for.

Very simple to use. Opening and closing is easy to do just follow the instructions. Way better than I expected!!Love the drawers for small items and the overall product has more room that I expected. Great Product!

***EDIT*** (I added an extra star for customer service. They do have a great customer service department)I bought this safe as a step up from regular lock boxes. I saw the 'Fireproof' and 'Waterproof' claims and bought it. I wanted something with a measure of protection in the event of a fire and such other calamities that life likes to throw at us.I received the safe and find it difficult to believe that this thin metal could be 'fire and waterproof'. The title sublines are deceptive.Setting up the combination is relatively easy and if the batteries die from storage, you have two keys to use. The other positive is there are three drawers and a small storage area which I needed. I will continue to use this safe until I can upgrade to another quality build and brand.Regardless, the safe is a cheap alternative until one can find or afford a better one.

Good price, nice size and super easy set up!

So, I was looking for a home safe and this product satisfied the need. Having said that, the safe delivered to me was clearly pre-owned or at least pre-used. There were scratches on the side and dents in the corners. The top and sides had fingerprints on them. The shelves, require four screws and nuts, the safe was delivered with three screws and four nuts. I could hear them rattling inside when I carried the box into my home. Four nuts, three screws. Guess that's a 3 1/2 rating? As a bonus, the Chinese included what looked to be a chipped ceramic gromet inside the cabinet. I have no idea what that is for. The instructions are written in Chinglish. You will need to read them closely because the noun / verb forms are reversed much of the time. So, after all this, did we keep the safe? Yes. Why? Because it locks and we only need to use one shelf, so we had enough shelf screws. Also, it will be hidden away, so we can tolerate the scratches, dents, and smudges. Finally, we were able to find enough coupons to get the price below $200. If we had paid the full price, we would have returned it. Oh, by the way, as others have pointed out, this safe is not fireproof or waterproof. There are mounting holes covered with tape that penetrate the back and bottom. The manufacturer does provide a folder that is supposed to be fireproof. But, given the many other quality defects we found, the fireproof claim is not credible. Lastly, the interior is very dark. Even in a brightly lit room, it is difficult to see the contents. Other manufacturers put a light inside their safe.

Very nice and very sturdy, just what we want!!

Ordered the safe. It arrived quickly however it had a minor problem. Contacted the company, describing the problem. Received a prompt response and worked closely with me to correct the problem. They were easy to work with so we were able to find a quick solution. Besides the initial problem I found the safe adequate for my secure storage requirements. Setting the lock codes was straight forward and easy. The doors are secure, opening easily when unlocked. There is plenty of room in both sections to store a considerable amount of valuables.

The fact is that the LCD screen was broken on arrival. But it was plain to see the box was retaped in certain places showing damage before it arrived. So unacceptable and the actual size was smaller than. Refund is needed

This safe is marketed and priced as fireproof, but In fact, safe itself is not fireproof - they include a small fireproof bag, that's all that is there when it comes to a fire protection. Furthermore, fireproof bag is mentioned in the title as A4 size, but actually it is half that size (detailed description gives correct size). I also doubt it is waterproof, there is no trace of any sealing, but I didn't try.Interestingly, most of the safes has one battery compartment inside the safe, but this one has two battery compartments, internal and external, taking total 8 batteries. The purpose of this is unclear to me, as the safe works perfectly well with only one compartment having batteries in it.
