Great replacement
Worried it wouldn’t work like the original that my dog used as a chew toy. Has been very very good.Only complaint is the right click is touchy and will hop two spaces a lot.

Pointer is annoying
Works right out of the box for my 3 year old LG TV. All the buttons work as expected and it is quick. The voice function works well, although I seem to have to speak more slowly than i should have to in order for it to understand me.That being said, I am a little disappointed in the pointer function. It works, but it always tries to come on when I don't want it to. Sometimes it's just easier to use the pad on the remote to navigate on the TV. Then when i try to click to accept, the pointer inevitably comes on and is pointing at something else and it clicks on that! Super frustrating. I wish there was a way to turn it off. Maybe there is, but being as the remote doesn't come with an instruction manual, I can't figure out how.NOV. EDIT: The pointer function is no longer available. No tears shed for that as I didn't like using it anyyay, but the voice to text feature also quit working as well, and we used that quite a bit. Not sure if there's a button that turns that back on? we've tried them all to no avail. Maybe if there was some bonafide instructions that came with it....Knocking it down another star.

Almost identical to the original LG magic remote
I can't imagine that this is not a copyright violation, as this remote appears to be an exact replica of the LG branded remote. The only physical difference I can see or feel is in the resistance of the wheel. It's fairly simple to pair this, but it took me a few times of unregistering and reregistering to have it work properly. The first time it paired, the pointer didn't work at all. The second time, the pointer appeared, but continually drifted across the screen on its own. The third time was the charm. It seems to work almost as good as the original, but the pointer has some lag and seems to "stick" sometimes. Also note that your custom shortcuts will not carry over to the new remote. You'll need to set those up again.I have a 2021 LG OLEDSteps to set it up:1. With the TV on, unregister your current remote by pressing and holding the Back and Home buttons at the same time, on your current remote2. Register your new remote by clicking the wheel on the new remoteRepeat this if you encounter any wonkiness.

Not compatible with my LG C9 TV
I have a C9 and this remote does not work with the pointer option. I'm not sure if it is because it is from 2019 but the pointer is not compatible. It shows up on the screen but it doesn't move. When I click the scroll button it sometimes pops up because the wheel moves easily and it causes issues.

Worked right out of the box exactly like my original remote
The media could not be loaded. I got this remote as a replacement remote for my original remote that came with my LG, and I'm quite pleased with it. The best part is that it worked right out of the box, without the need for any programming or syncing. I simply put in the batteries, and it immediately started functioning. Although it did take a little while for the pointer to appear initially, as I used it to navigate through my TV, and change channels, the pointer eventually showed up. In terms of functionality, it's virtually identical to my old remote, making it a seamless and hassle-free replacement with no noticeable differences. I hope my review was helpful to you.

Passable refurb job, but not as good as new
I know these LG Magic remotes can be very pricey, especially for voice enabled models. This remote is exactly the same model as the one that came stock with my TV, but it has some flaws that make it just not measure up. The trackball in the middle is super loose, so half the time when attempting to press the center button, you accidentally end up scrolling down the page. Also, the motion tracking is off, so the arrow constantly drifts down and to the left regardless of where you are pointing the remote. If you have no choice and can get it for almost nothing, maybe pick up one as a back up remote in case your primary one dies, like LG remotes do from time to time. But don't get one as your main remote. Spend the extra and get a new one.
