These make checking the alignment on my solid axel Jeep extremely easy. I'm sure there's a cheaper DIY solution but these are nicely made and cheap enough to make it well worth it.

After wasting the time, money and 2 set of tires at 2 different alignment shops I decided I had to do it myself. Setup time and job took less than an hour and now the truck drives perfectly straight setting the toe at zero. Firestone actually told me the truck was to heavy for their machine, after having to go back and complaining about the truck pulling to the left, after I paid the 200 for the alignment.

Do work for 4wd truck as shown, but passenger cars have smaller rotors, less room around the wheels, and calipers in the way. Good idea for trucks. Also must have on jack stands to set — which many cars change their toe when sitting on the ground. So a few allignment details interfere with certain vehicle models.

So these plates are pretty generic. You have to rig up some tape measures to be able to measure your toe in . It would be much better if they came with some dedicated tape measures that would fit these bars. What I have doesnt work very well on these and not an easy way to attach anything. These are cheap and work in a pinch but I am still a big fan of the Quick trick setup. I would shop around and decide what works for you.

Do not underestimate these plates. I used to have a crude setup myself but these have show me the light they bolted on and i was able to be withing about a 1/16 of an inch in my mind side to side. Take this and a digital angle finder and you have a poor mans alignment setup which in most cases will get you just as close to a shop. 100% probably not its not a laser but 90-95% i think thats doable and in all reality theres a range on the adjustment for a reason 90-95 is probably within that margin. I am by no means and expert but iv used these to straighten out my sisters front end after and inner tie rod and its cruising straight as an arrow.
