This was suggested by my medical provider due to brain fog from menopause and post illness issues. I think it's helping, I mean it's too early to know if it is just placebo affect or not. I will check back in a couple of months if it is still working and update.Overall - tasteless pills, good shape that goes down easily. The brand is doctor recommended and high quality. I've been using ALCAR (Acetyl L Carnitine 1,500 mg) along with ALA (Alpha Lipoic Acid 300 mg) for years. Energy boost, fat burning, cardio protection, cognitive boost, nerve pain relief. This combo does it all! This blended Carnitine doesn't offer me the mental or physical boost I noticed when taking just straight ALCAR but that ALCAR dose was also significantly more than what's in this Carnitine blend. I've even taken 3 caps of this but I still don't get that burst of energy and clarity so once this bottle is finished, I'll go back to the other brand. Am surprised b/c Life Extension makes quality products. Nothing against this, my body simply gets better results from another product.
