I purchase 24 for my recessed lighting needs creating the Man Cave. Very easy to mount and I loved the fact that they can still slid from side to side once mounted so you can position the light exactly where you want it.

The brackets fit just as they should in our ceiling joist. The problem with the flange is that the internal flanges that need to be removed in order to house the wafer lights are held on to the bracket by four points instead of two, for easy removal. This design forces you to use metal snips to cut and remove the rings. It doesn't sound like much work until you have cut 42 of these things and then you spend most of the day cutting metal rings instead of ripping out.

You can mount these during the rough-in and then you know where to cut the drywall to install the light later during finish electrical.

These are fantastic little new construction brackets. These are used for the newer style LED disc lights. Historically, I just lay a wire in the ceiling in the approximate location I want the light and after drywall is done, I have to poke around and figure out where its at then cut in a hole. These go in before drywall and when drywall is hung, they cut them out as the do the drywall. This makes it super easy to just reach in and grab the rough wire and hook up a disc. disc pops right into the hole. One thing i learned though is that if you have blown in insulation, don't install that until the discs are snapped in, it makes a mess. Not the fault of this product, but it can delay insulation until after all your lighting is in, if you go this route. Will be getting lots more of these!

these worked great for my for my basement where there is not a drywall ceiling. I painted them black to match the black I painted the ceiling and they hold the LED lights up perfectly.

These work great especially before drywall. This really helps your find where the lights are at and you can pre-wire the boxes as well. There is not a lot of room to put the box so you have to make sure you have enough on the bracket. Overall great bracket.
