I have fitted these to devices as it stops fiddling with finding the socket and can use the same charging cable both USB C and micro USB devices. also protects the device socket from damage fumbing plugging in, kicking a cable out or dust. great little invention!

I bought these hoping they would work as a replacement for the magnetic plug used on the Quest 2 Charging-dock made by Anker. They don't. The charging-dock uses a 3-pin design, these are 1-pin. Also these were magnetical repelled by the charging-dock.I guess now i'll have to by the cable which goes with these.

My Android Auto requires me to plug my phone to a USB outlet to relay data (maps, music, etc.). I bought a magnetic cord that was rated for data transfer and set it up in the car such that the magnet grabs in place just by setting my phone on the phone mount in my car. But I lost the nub and needed a replacement. This will not work with my Android Auto for data transfer.
