Born in Devon, Leslie originally studied Art at Portsmouth, then travelled to Australia and took a degree in Illustration and Graphic Design at the College of Art in Sydney.Almost hidden by jasmine, his 'tree house' studio, is set under the canopy of an ancient yew which stands guard over the garden of the Eight Gabled House, in the village of Dowdeswell. This superb 15th century Cotswolds stone hamlet provides a stimulating environment for his creative art and design work. Leslie has created images and products for many of the most prestigious museums, galleries, historic houses, visitor attractions and institutions, such as:The Orient Express, Lords Cricket Ground, National Railway Museum, the National Gallery, Portmeirion Village, Salisbury Cathedral, the Royal Palace Stockholm and in Paris the Moulin Rouge. The simplicity, distinctiveness and power of Leslie's images owes much to the synthesis of his fine art training and years as a practicing designer.
