This clock has a great feature that you can swap the black hands for the gold coloured ones also provided if you want greater clarity. If the black hands are over the black numerals it may take more than a glance to see the time! However black is beautiful for me and the clock is just the right size: big enough to be a feature but it doesn't dominate the room. It is lightweight and easy to take down to change the battery and it is silent - no irritating tick-tock. I love it.
