Very pleased
This window installation kit is far better than the one which came with our (otherwise excellent) DeLonghi portable a/c.

A MUST for sliding window and portable AC installations!
I’ve been struggling for years to cover gaps after installing my portable air conditioner to a sliding window. I usually had to cut out pieces of cardboard and use white duct tape to secure the edges. Over time, the tape falls off from the hot air blowing from the AC unit, usually in the middle of a hot summer night. This portable AC windows vent kit solves this problem! The plastic panels are durable which can be reused every summer. This is an easy 5-star rating for a much needed product! I highly recommend this.

Only works well if you have a single window setup
This window vent kit seemed promising at first. However, it is ultimately a disappointment to me and I do not plan on using it further.First thing to know: it is not a metal kit, it's plastic. It definitely feels a lot less sturdy than manufacturer kits, but it's not a big deal to me. The plastic quality is fine, and it clips well, and all.The biggest problem with this window kit is that it only work if you have a single window setup. It will not work if you have two windows that are separated by a 6 inch to a foot of space (like much old building do in Canada). In this case, if you want to install the kit on the exterior window you will be absolutely unable to have a seal, as the height of the kit simply isn't tall enough to accommodate a normal AC hose. In essence, the hose will be too tall to create a seal. The only option is to install the kit on the inside window, and leave minimum gap on the outside window so it does not rain inside... Not optimal (as it *will* rain in, not matter what you do).If you have a single window, you'll be fine.
