Purchased this product, followed the instructions and they never did anything. Placed them in warm water in a warm place, 7 sprouted so transfered to a pot with aquatic soil. Put them outside in an area so it could get sun for at least 6 hours. Always made sure there was water. Nothing happened they all died. Don't waste your money. So disappointed!!

Interesting to watch these little seed pods turn into leaves and eventually flowers. They sprouted within 10 days. Almost all sprouted. Be sure to soak the pods for 24hrs before attempting to trim off the end. It softens the seed pods making trimming it possible. I noticed there have been alot of complaints trying to trim this very hard pod..nearly impossible. Soaking does the trick.

This is the second time i have purchased Lotus seeds and had absolutely no luck with them. Now this could just be me. The seeds came quickly and they were packaged very well. Good luck if you can get them to grow because i cant.

I just received the seeds. I soaked them in warm water about 3 days, using pliers to clip the tiny end part. I also ordered a led light to keep the seeds warm and give them light. My question is: all the seeds have an opening already, are they supposed to be clipped at each end? I followed the picture instructions, shown on Amazon, which is very unclear. I will go to Dr. Goggle and try to get better information.

I bought these lotus seeds because I wanted to try growing something different in my little patio pond, and they looked really pretty in the pictures. The seeds arrived in good condition—there were 10 just like it said. I soaked them in warm water for a few days, and about half of them sprouted, which I thought was pretty decent. One thing I wish I had known upfront is that you definitely need to buy aquatic soil and a bowl or pot separately—none of that is included. It’s not a huge deal, but the listing could be a little clearer. I had to pause and wait for those to arrive before I could transfer the sprouts. So far, the ones that did sprout are growing nicely, and I’m hopeful they’ll bloom in a month or so. If you enjoy gardening or want to try something new, I think this is a fun little project—just know that it’s not completely ready to go out of the box.
