The brown sugar and maple flavors really come alive in this delicious fudge. The process we use to make our fudge originated on Mackinac Island in the late 1800’s. First and foremost, we use fresh dairy cream to create the creamiest fudge. We cook our fresh ingredients in an old fashioned copper kettle and pour the cooked batch onto a marble slab. After a period of cooling, we “flip” or work the fudge with a paddle on the marble slab for approximately 15 minutes forming it into a loaf as it cools. This process changes the texture of the fudge and a true smooth and creamy candy is formed. Finally, the loaf of fudge is sliced to create the most delectable old fashioned fudge you’ll ever taste!
