Q: Possibly a silly question but just want to check if the usb cable sends audio to PC or just provides power?

The USB carries both power and audio. The Rubix range can also be powered by a standard USB charger.

Q: Will this be able to record vinyl into a computer?

In theory, yes. Providing your record player/amp has a line out that can go into your interface.

Q: With 4 line outs can this be configured to provide quadraphonic surround sound to front and rear speakers directly from windows? (no daw)
