Strong Umbrella
This umbrella is fantastic! It is so big that it is insane how compact it can get. I got this umbrella specifically to keep in my car. It always seems like when I need an umbrella I never have one. Weather often changes and I can find myself without an umbrella and a snow or rainstorm at any time. So I decided to get this umbrella because it looked compact, but also looked like it would be sturdy enough to hold up to any storm. I’m happy to report that it does exactly that. I’ve used it multiple times now when we’ve had some pretty strong winds and rain, and it is held up and worked perfectly. The first thing I love about it is how big the umbrella gets. It offers a lot of coverage that you can even put two people under it and they’d be Covered from the majority of the elements. For just one person it’s absolutely amazing. I love how compact and small it gets. It allows you to easily store it in a glove box, middle console, or even your trunk. It doesn’t take up any room at all and is super easy to travel with. The thing that impresses me, the most is just the construction of the umbrella. It’s very durable and held up against very strong winds, and took it like no problem. The umbrella is super easy to put up. Just takes a push the button and it launches out, and Gets to its full size. It’s also easy to retract and store. I love that it comes with a sleeve that you can put it in as well to make sure that everything stays together. Overall, it’s a fantastic product and I’m super glad that I have it in my car just in case of emergencies.

Up is easy -- down not so much!
This seems to be a well made umbrella that does most of what it says it will. It is large -- certainly two people can fit under this when needed. It is not golf umbrella size however. The material is standard umbrella nylon. It has a wind vent that is a big help in keeping the umbrella from turning inside out when there is a gust of wind. Opening the umbrella is an easy, one touch operation of the push button. The umbrella springs open quickly. However closing it is another matter. Pushing the button again closes the canopy quickly but the stick/stem is still extended and it take A LOT of pressure to push it back down to the starting position. Bear on mind that the umbrella is wet and in grasping the top and holding the bottom to force the stick part closed, you are getting wet. Then you are faced with a couple of lumpy handfulls of wet canopy fabric that somehow you are supposed to fold small enough that you can get the velcro strap to close around it. None of that is easy. I tried and tried to get the cover/sleeve to go back around the folded umbrella and was just not able to make it happen. I am sure that it is possible but it would take way, way longer than I care to mess with a wet umbrella to carefully fold this all back the way it needs to be. So I decided to leave it open, let it dry and then fold it back together but it still took quite a while. Now -- none of these are problems that are limited to this umbrella alone. I have other umbrellas that have similar issues but those don't seem to be nearly as bad as this one. The spring on this one is very sturdy and hard. The double fabric for the wind (which is a good thing that keeps it from turning inside out) makes it quite difficult to fold back together. Finally, they say this is a good travel umbrella and I would disagree. For travel I take a small compact umbrella. This one is oversized and not light weight and would be more trouble traveling. This one I will keep in my car for when I am caught in a shower while running errands.

High build quality
Took this umbrella on a trip to the UK and put it to the test.First of all, it is easy to operate. Second, it is lightweight. Third, it survived a wind gust that flipped the umbrella inside out. I thought for sure it was broken but no, it just popped back into place when I turned around to face the wind. Very impressive. Cheaper umbrellas would have been trash after something like that. After that experience, I cannot recommend this umbrella enough. It is large enough for two people, it is compact, easy to operate, but most importantly, it is built extremely well.

Sturdy - Yes / Lightweight - No
I was looking for a basic black umbrella for when needed. I don't live in an area with a ton of rain, but when it happens, it happens, so just wanted to be ready. This umbrella is absolutely sturdy, but not at all lightweight. It's a big umbrella too, so I wouldn't take it for travel, but it's definitely not going to fold in on itself anytime soon. I'm sure it could handle whatever the weather threw at me, but I will be looking for something just a little smaller.

Very good umbrella
I have to admit that, when closed, this umbrella is a little larger than I expected or really wanted. However, that is my error - the measurements were clearly available in the sale listing and I didn't pay enough attention, so I am not deducting anything for that. In any case, the umbrella feels solid and strong. I love being able to push the button to both deploy the umbrella and stow it. I haven't used this in a really strong wind yet, but I think it will do fine. It really feels strong.

Decent
Large size which does protect from rain and can withstand wind gusts up to 30 km/h; then it's a hit and miss (turns inside out or the rod supports under the canopy deform). The shaft has a burred hole in the middle for clipping in the handle which catches in clothes. 520g weight, takes a while to dry.
