I replaced the old one because the spring broke. This one fit and it was super smooth. The site helped by stating which one to order for the appropriate engine. The kit also came with the bolts and additional string. What a bonus.

Quick notes for HRC216 owners-after spending too much time trying to find one of these Decent basic-quality item that works on the HRC216. The commercial walk behind is a beast, but not as popular in the residential market, so can be hard to find bits for them at times. I tried 3 different ones before getting this one. -It DOES have the bent-wire paws. -The cord is about 1' shorter than factory, but most HRC's start with the shortest pull, so it still gets it done on the bar(or you can let it just retract onto the top of the motor. -The cord and handle are a bit better quality than the other ~$20 bits in the sea of these things. Comes with an extra cord. -It has the 6 bolt pattern but fits the 3 bolt versions of the GXV160 Fine. -It's hard to find the expensive OEM version of this, so for those trying to get a next day affordable one to get back on the job, this will work. Thinner tin and cord, but never feels like it's struggling to get it started. It's also not $90.
