Q: Does the colored plastic bit (red or blue) hurt the top of your hand when doing overhead snatch moves?

No, your hand won’t hit that area on a snatch.

Q: Do these kettlebells make any noise while using them (clanking noise of internal parts)?

Minimal rattling while using, only with dynamic movements (snatch, aggressive swings). However, the kettlebells can be a bit 'finicky' with adjustment between sizes/ weights - need to align carefully, if not the kettlebells will not adjust properly. Also, because of the plastic, leaves an indentation across back of forearm that can be a bit irritating at times, but not overly so. Over-all, a good product, but with some minor issues.
