Good saw
This is a good saw. Using it saved some big bucks. I had a 6 inch thick limb about 20 feet in the air that needed to come down. It took a few tries to throw a weight over the limb into a fairly tight space, but it was not hard. A few strokes with my wife of one side and me on the other did the job.

Extremely usefull and effective.
Fabulous and effective. I had 3 large overhanging limbs (about 24 inches in diameter) about 25 ft plus above the ground. It is early spring (before they refilled with moisture). I improvised a bit with a rubber hammer as the ‘toss lead’ and tossed the mallot with a thin nylon string as a feed line, and then towed the heavy product rope over the limbs. (at 76 tossing a rubber mallot 30 feet is still doable :-). And even at my age, was able to saw the limbs off with about 15 to 20 cycles. I was amazed at the ability to cut the limbs. Be very very careful of the potential fall lines and be well clear. The weight and size of limbs are deceiving when they are ‘swaying’ 25 feet above the grond. But it saved me calling a tree service and saved them from growing over power lines and/or the house. Product is extremely usefull for limbs that are largely horizontal and about to hang over sensitive structures. Highly recommend the product, and would buy it again (although it will probably never wear out).

Useful
This is a great little kit - thoughtfully packaged, great compliment of accessories, and useful.I used this to trim a limb that had half-fallen - it split but didn't break free. I had a hard time with the saw as it bound -- easily. I suspect that was largely due to the soft, fresh wood that I was cutting and the jagged edge. I suspect it would have done a lot better on a harder, older, and drier wood.Regardless, this kit saved my butt - I was able to make the cut, fall the limb, and get it all cleaned up on my own.

buy it now!!!
if you just need some branches or smaller sized trees cut down i highly recommend this product. i ordered it last night, was delivered this morning and i was using it by the time i got up. i was skeptical at first but wow this thing works..and it works good. i was going to hire someone to come cut the branches for me but decided to try this first. i was able to cut down four big branches between 8-10 inches thick by myself in less than 30 mins!!

Want to save money and get the job done right?
I was sceptical about the manual chainsaw concept, but was facing a $400 quote to remove four branches in a large front yard tree. I'm 80 years old and have limited abilities and stamina, but I also have more time than money. It worked like a dream. It took about 6 tosses with a rock-filled pouch to get it over a 20 foot high branch. However, in about a minute it fell with a thud. The next branches were more difficult to access by throwing, so iI taped a 5” nail to a 20’ piece of 3/4” PVC, placed the pouch hole on the nail, and guided the pouch over the branch. The placement was perfect and another branch fell. Within four hours, I removed four, 4” to 6” branches with ease. Cast aside your doubts and make the purchase. I know this saw will last a long time and save me countless dollars from paying a tree service.

Did not come as advertised. safety concern.
**Update 3/24/25** I reached out directly to the company and they immediately sent out a replacement and stated that it "will include all the correct components as listed on our Amazon product page". And that they did, but they also changed the images on their product page to remove these safer locking links. See the attached with before and after photos. While I commend them on attempting to make it right, this comes off as sketchy and not in the best interests of the customer. At this time I can't recommend this saw as it is too easy for the carabiner clips to accidently lock over a branch making it difficult if not impossible to retrieve. If this were to occur midway through sawing a branch then you could potentially be left with a partially sawn branch that could break and fall at an inopportune time. Because of their sending out a replacement that is inferior and altering their product description to match that, I am dropping the rating down from a 2 to a 1 star. This not only is a safety issue, but one that appears they are trying to hide.At first I liked this saw. Simple and cut well. Mine did not come as advertised though. It had 4 carabiners, when the product description shows it comes with 2 carabiners and 2 quick links. I didn't think much of this until I tried to cut a branch down and as I pulled the saw up the carabiner locked itself onto a branch. The branch was relatively thin so the carabiner clip slid right onto it. Thankfully, with it being thin I was able to use a pole to push the carabiner up the branch far enough to be able to bend it down and pull the carabiner off, but this took well over an hour of work. I will not be using this as is and don't suggest using it if you do not have the lockable links to use around chain. Heck, even around the weight bags, as they could easily get caught this way too.I contacted the company but have not heard back yet. I'm giving this a 2 star as it worked, but did not come as advertised, I will update after I heard back from the company.
