I was primarily in the market for something that would insulate my hips and thighs from pressing against the metal side panels on my cheapie manual wheelchair. Although my body size dictates a wider wheelchair than I have, I need a narrow profile chair to get through narrow doorways and tight sharp turns I must navigate in my 100 year old house. This pad with the full side pads does the trick. I have to do some elaborate tying of the straps to keep the sides and back pad in place when I plop into it. Otherwise they end up underneath me since the ties do stretch. But tying one of the side straps (the one closest to the back obviously) on each side pad up to the back handles of the chair along with the straps for the back pad, does the trick. I wish I could get a color other than red. But whatever. It is the only one I have found that solves my problem.

This would be perfect if it had a place for lap belts to go through that was doubled stitch for durability and it was waterproof. I really like how the whole seating area is protected.

Opened it up and it looked beautiful!!! Very soft. Went to put it in the chair and it was flat. I have worn out pillows that would have more cushion. Very disappointed.

JUST WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR

I would not have bought this if I had known there was no cushion.. it's just thin fabric.
