Mini Aquarium Filter Air Driven Sponge Filter for Small Fish Tank 0.5-5 Gallon

I bought this as an inexpensive way to filter and airrate my small snail tank. I keep my puffer food (bladder snails) in a small 1-gallon plastic tank. The filter suction cup works great, and it doesn't slide off. It stays in place. The two complaints I have is that the sponge practically falls off the filter. It should have had a much more snug fit, and whoever they have packaging the product should be fired. You don't fold air tubing like a piece of paper, you wrap it like a garden hose. The tubing was folded in the box causing permanent bends and pinched sections. I tried for 15 minutes to get the pinched sections to smooth out. No luck. I even exposed the tubing to hot air while stretching it thinking it would smooth it out more. No luck there either. Luckily, the mini air pump I also purchased came with tubing so I switched it out. Maybe if I can get the bends out of the tubing I can switch it back, but for now, it's useless and had to be replaced. It's a bit noisier than I thought it would be, but it's not bad. Eventually, it just becomes background noise, easy to tune out after a while. I can't say for sure if the suction is good, I'll know after I have had it longer.

It's a good size for 1 gal. But dosen't seem to work. Hose is cheap, kinked. And I can't get it to straighten out

Perfect for my betta bowl. The air pump I purchased works great with this item . The water looks much clearer now that I’ve been using this little filter. I’m happy with my purchase

Filter doesn’t do much but does exactly what I wanted it to do. Perfect for small tanks which I used for quarantining.
