Other rice will absorb around twice their volume in liquid, whilst bomba rice will absorb 3 times - so remember to adjust your liquid to rice quantities to around 3 to 1! The rice expands in width like an accordion rather than longitudinally, as do other rice varieties, but still the grains remain distinct. This means that the rice is able to absorb even more of the succulent flavours of your paella stock, making that paella even more special. It is grown in the heart of the famous Albufera Natural Park, South-West of the city of Valencia, renown as the best areas in Spain for rice cultivation. Our Bomba rice comes from ARROCERÍAS ANTONIO TOMÁS a company founded 40 years ago. Their Santo Tomas brand is recognised today as one of the premium brands in the market.
