I purchased to open up and fix my son's broken light saber but this was too big and I was able to remove using some scissors. But this works for other of his toys and works as intended.

You don't find the triangle-head security screws this fits often. Mainly in some toys, fast-food premiums, and electronic devices. But when you want to remove one, especially when it's deeply recessed inside a molded socket, it's somewhere between difficult and impossible to do without the right tool. I've been looking for a proper screwdriver in this style for a long time without success when I stumbled on this one.It isn't fancy, and you might even say it feels a little cheap, but you're not tightening lug-nuts on a truck here. You're inserting and removing small screws usually sunk into soft plastic, and it works great for its intended purpose.If your intended purpose is to disassemble fast food toys (for modification, scrounging parts for projects, or replacement of batteries) be aware that some are not only held together with screws, they're glued or sonic welded as well. It varies from toy to toy. Some come apart quite easily, and there's just no way to find out but to try.Anyway, this was a valuable and worthwhile addition to my tool kit. I'm tempted to order another one in case this one gets lost.

This driver does indeed open a Lionel CW-80 transformer, but it is actually a size too small so you have to be careful not to put too much torque on it. There is no indication what size triangle bit this is, but you are lucky even to rind one.After use there was visible deformation of the tip where it pressed on the inside of the head. This indicates the steel is not will hardened like good screwdrivers. The plastic handle is unremarkable and a bit small diameter.Note, this is a true triangle bit, not a tri-blade (similar to a phillips but with three instead of four blades.) Some items are not clear which they are.Overall a mediocre but serviceable tool.

This little screwdriver is not easily found in my area. Having gone to Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware, Radio Shack (2 different ones), PEP Boys auto supply store/car repair, Hobby Lobby, Walmart, and two local hobby stores looking for one, I turned to Amazon.com. The company I ordered from was great. Their online ordering software was easy and fast. The price was very reasonable. They shipped fast. The screwdriver was exactly what I needed and packaged to arrive safely. I purchased this not knowing if it would work for my application, i.e., a DuraCraft space heater that I purchased at a garage sale. It had triangle screws...never seen them before. Well, this screwdriver fit perfectly allowing me to clean out an internal filter so that the heater would work.Well made and strong.

Does NOT work with brio smart engine, it is too big! Other reviews noted it worked so I purchased this instead of the set of 5 for twice the cost. I should have gotten the 5 and had 4 extra! Now I will have to get the other set and have 6 with 5 extra & two of one size that I don't need!!

If you're thinking to yourself "gee I sure do need a triangle screwdriver but I'm not sure if this one is small enough", this one is way, WAY too big for you. The size of the tip is absolutely massive; I have no idea what it would even go to because the triangle is as big as a standard screw. I just opened it up and was excited to be able to fix my controller, but alas, it's doesn't fit. I will say that it is incredibly sturdy.

I was not impressed with the quality and material of this driver but then again it was not that expensive. I guess you get what you pay for. The good news is that it works fine at this time and I hope it will last for a while.
