All calcifuge (lime hating plants) such as azaleas, rhododendrons, magnolias, conifers, as well as many ericas and alpines can benefit from top dressing of Sulphate Of Iron. KEY BENEFITS The sulphate acidifies the soil and promotes fine leaved grass growth. Adds a rich green colour to tired lawns Corrects Soil pH Fertilises the soil APPLICATION RATES Standard application: 25g dissolved per litre of water applied by either sprayer or watering can per 4 square metres. Regular green up: 25g dissolved per litre of water applied by either sprayer or watering can per 6.25 square metres. Sprayer inch If you intend to use sulphate of iron on its own then spraying is the best option. Mix well in warm water to prevent spray filters and nozzles clogging and then simply spray on to the lawn. Do not spray if rain is imminent, as it needs to dry on for the most effective results. CAUTION inch Care is needed around hard surfaces and to protect yourself. This product can burn and stain paths, concrete, tarmac and paving if a heavy dose spills on it. If a small amount of the product blows onto paving then a quick sweep will prevent any lasting damage.
