Handle is plastic and was expecting more weight but it will work. Twisty wire is very sturdy ，easy to clean & makes mashing easy. For different purposes for it's original intention. mashed potatoes, also avacados and butternut squash and egg salad. It works good is comfortable to grip . ergonomically friendly . pretty color.
