I recently purchased this chafing dish set for an event. I was pleased with how easy it was to assemble. The set comes with all the necessary utensils, which is a nice touch. I also like that the chafing dish is sturdy and well-made.

Originally I was returning them but at the last minute decided to use these chaffing pans. I put them together and rechecked to make sure all the screws were tightened. Went to use them and after adding water and using one of them, as I went to pick it up and set it down, the legs collapsed. I cannot use these if the stand keeps collapsing so I am returning them with concern of this happening with scalding water in the pans and the stand collapsing.

Items as described. Easy assembly. Good quality for the price.

I think that they are worth the money I paid. The only complaint is that the chafing water pans were stuck and almost impossible to get unstuck. I researched online and found the solution. This method only took me 5 minutes to get the pans unstuck. I hope it helps.How to Release Two Stainless Steel Pans That Are Stuck Together (hunker.com, 2024):1. Fill a sink with hot water.2. Set the stuck pans in the sink, just covering the bottom pan with the hot water.3. Fill the top pan with ice.4. Allow the pans to set for about five minutes, and pry them apart with your hands.

These are a great quality and easy to clean. To keep them looking like new I do recommend using Stainless Steel Cleaner & Polish. The pieces also stack well; however, I do put a towel between each piece (inside pans only).I would caution you to open the boxes well in advance of your event because you have to put all the pieces together; and keep the orange pieces to help get the inside pans apart (hence, why I put dish towels between each inside pan).

The reason for the poor review is the packaging, which has been by far the most difficult challenge I've ever faced to open anything.There is so much plastic shoved in between each chafer that there's no space in between any of them, and it becomes impossible to pull apart. We had to go so far as to soak the chafers in hot water, then tried oil, and finally had to get the biggest and strongest screwdriver we had to pry them open with all my strength.The overall product is fine and it does make my job as a chef easier, but it should never be that complicated to try and pull the chafers apart when they first arrive to your doorstep.
