Wobbly
This tripod is definitely not suitable for painting. It’s way too wobbly. It could be fine for just holding a sign or something though. As long as the sign is not too heavy and it’s not placed where it could easily be bumped.

Exactly what I was looking for
My family and I love to put up mirrors with writing on it (baby showers, wedding showers, big number birthdays, etc.) and set them on an easel. This one is better than the one we kept borrowing. It's adjustable, holds at least 12 pounds, and doesn't rock in the heavy wind!

I needed an easel as I’m constantly hosting and this one was hard to work with as it is lightweight and collapses easily. Ended up returning it

Broken hardware!
The only reason I’m giving it a 3 star is I do like the look of it. I’m just SO frustrated that one of the screws came like this!! 🙄. Now I have to hunt down the same type to finish putting it together and it is unacceptable.
