Works great in a Toyota Rav4 Prime, some very minor issues
Overall, this seems work as advertised. Plugged into our Rav4 Prime, got a SIM from TMobile and a 256GB TF card (not that I needed it), and it booted up the first time and was also able to connect my Android phone for AA and my wife's iPhone for CarPlay. No major issues so far, but here are some minor items/issues:- Why are there so many sellers, all claiming to be from the Carlinkit store, at various prices, that all end up being about the same price once you apply the coupon. I was worried I was going to get some underground/grey-market model. In the end, the product I received looks legit.- Turning on Google Assistant ("Hey Google") all the time confused my car's head unit into thinking that it was always waiting for a voice prompt. This blocked the instrument cluster from doing pretty much anything other than showing a little mic icon, and broke volume control for apps on the device. Luckily Google Assistant can be disabled.- I have an Android device and my wife has an iPhone. I really wanted to be able to easily switch between the two, but once the Autokit app is connected to one, there doesn't appear to be any way to dynamically switch to the other unless you turn off bluetooth on the connected phone. Please add this functionality (or tell me how to do it).- It was nice to see that it has a built-in phone app. When getting a SIM, be sure to buy a phone SIM (not a tablet SIM) if you want phone functionality. Making/receiving calls appears to work fine.- Steering wheel controls for Android Auto/Apple Carplay work as expected.- Boots up pretty quickly and reliably connects to both the car's head unit (over USB) and our phones.- I updated to the latest firmware with no difficulty.- I was able to use a 256GB TF card formatted with ExFat.I have previously tried "Magic Box" (overpriced and has no SIM support), and a GiWiOS box (just a rebranded autobox) which had severe connection issues. This Carlinkit AI box is far better than either of those.

Worked for couple of months only
1)From the very first day, it was intermittently working. Complaining about USB error. Had to unplug and plug it back multiple times.2)Then, once in a while it complains about device is hot, so I had to unplug it and keep it disconnected for a while.3) it is meant for wide screen, horizontal displays, not for vertical like Prius Prime. Android Auto did not auto scale, so I cannot see the 1/3 of the map.4) it felt cheap plastic product and does not deserve this high price.5) it does not work anymore after two months and I can't return it....

Works great!
Used in my 2020 4Runner and it's awesome. Wireless Android auto with bonus android features you would expect in a tablet but on car display like YouTube, Netflix, email, Torque OBDII app, etc. Has option to use its own sim card, but I use wifi Hotspot on my phone. Operation is not laggy at all!Only caveat: firmware updates take 30+ minutes to install, but that's what it takes in my phone too, so not a fault of the device.

So far so good
The carlinkit works great so farIt doesn’t seem like I can mirror IPTV from my phone but you’re able to side load it with a SD cardThe processor works great. You have to be a little bit of a techie to get the most out of the unit. I’m a engineer so this was not too cumbersome for me but the average person might get frustrated with loading apps and trying to get all the video playing apps that are on your phoneIf the support team can let me know that there is a mirror cast ability that would also help

Company won't support the product if not purchased from them directly
So, this review is a double-edged sword. Overall, the item works great but the one I have will not accept any updates. I will download the latest update from 8-25-2023 but will not complete the install and fails every time at 96%. I contacted the manufacturer, and they informed me that since I didn't purchase it directly from them, they wouldn't support the product. The person was nice enough and gave me a link to download all the files manually and then gave me instruction on how to manually replace every file in the update but I'm reluctant to do this as the unit is working great right now without the update. I'm constantly getting notice it needs an update but I'm afraid if I go the manual route and it stops working the company won't support it. :(

Good but could be better
Using it daily. Tried several cars, on Corolla 2023 it didn't worked. Worked on Nissan, Audi, MazdaUI is not the best one, I don't like the launcher and using CarCar launcher instead.Performance is sufficient for maps and navigation. Using it with sim card. No problems found with GPS.2/3 of proprietary software is the weak point of it.Overall I'm glad to use it. Very handy when you have to switch from car to car.

Not worth over $200
I purchased this as an upgrade from a 1st gen carlink from 2021. This product started out great but showed many flaws after. Major issue it keep disconnecting and reconnecting while driving. Smaller issues were lag, freezing, and touch would show mouse icon or touch would stop work. My dislike is that I have to pick which system to use before driving CarPlay or android because you cannot switch without disconnecting from WiFi. The last issue is the boot time to CarPlay is almost 1 min or more sometimes. It shows carplay, then an intro screen, then android system then if you set auto boot carplay.

Almost There
Constantly disconnects from built in wi-if. Also disconnects from phone hot spot. When it works it’s ok. Also problem with audio video sync. I downloaded the kit that was supposed to fix it but still has very bad sync. I restarted the unit but still the same. Great idea but needs lots of work.
