Avengers Vs. X-Men [New Printing]

A great read, that I would recommend for fans of both X-men and Avengers. The great story and amazing art work makes this a must read.

Always rooting for the X-men,this was fun to read but the tie ins are better with many side characters which show some of the avengers not caring for the mutant children

It was a lot of pages of comic for the money.I'm a fan from back in the 90's and the stories in the last decade have the original characters and the original continuity reimagined many many times.It was fun and entertaining and puts the characters you recognize in a larger story where you may have to relearn their current context & universe.

Loved the story. Great artwork and scripting. Reading a graphic novel on a Kindle though can be a little difficult if you have bad eyes. I actually prefer to read it on the Kindle App on my iPad as its easier to resize the page.

As someone new(ish) to Marvel comics and to the X-Men in general the idea of this book really appealed to me. I thought it would give me a taste of the X-Men and the Avengers in comic form and...it kinda does. But overall, I would not really recommend this trade to anyone who doesn't have a specific reason to read it.Pros:- Some of the artwork is pretty good. I quite enjoyed the artwork in about half of this run. You get to see lots of characters drawn by a handful of different artists. There is some well done fight sequences, The Phoenix Five have cool costumes, and some of the locations are really well drawn.- Hope Summers features prominently and, for me, was the most interesting character in the book.Cons:- The artwork, John Romira Jr. Drew about half the issues in this run, and I'm not a fan of his style. It's a shame some of the other artists on the run didn't get more issues since their artwork was really the best thing about this book.- The story, it's quite hamfisted and really just a thin excuse for Avengers and X-Men to fight over something. The concept itself is interesting, unfortunately every character in this book suffers from the inability to communicate with longtime partners and friends instead of fighting.- The cast, the book is titled Avengers vs. X-Men but really it's 90% Scott Summers and Emma Frost vs. Captain America, Iron Man, and Wolverine with Scarlet Witch and Hope Summers caught in the middle. A few other Avengers have small roles in the story, and Magneto and Xavier are kinda around here and there but beyond that most of the cast just shows up in a panel here and there during fight scenes.This book has like half a dozen authors and it feels like it. It's disjointed, character motivations are unclear, layout and pacing can be confusing at times. At the end of the day, it's not the worst comic I've ever read, but it's far from the best. I wouldn't recommend this book unless it is specifically a part of a larger run or collection you're invested in.

While I understand it's business to kill off the x-men I don't agree with it. In a universe where diversity is the chosen direction, it makes no sense to kill off the team that started it all.

All the best characters beat the stuff out of each other! Story and art are top notch. If you like a long book, this is worth the read.

Loved it! Need to find the next story to read, wish there was a link to show the collected story.

I was expecting more from this story. It's to poorly structured. Half of the pages is not directed to the story, but to out-of-context fights.
