GMT: Skies Above Britain Boardgame

Description

Solitaire game of plane-to-plane combat during the Battle of Britain. Player controls a squadron of Hurricane or Spitfire fighters trying to disrupt the German bombing raids, with their occasional escorts, over SE Britain. Uses a card-assisted system to provide the tactical decision making involved in dogfights. Scenarios include individual patrols, includes a patrol generator, and can combine missions into larger campaigns including the whole of the Battle of Britain. Each mission is quick -playing. Depicts need to deal with escorts while giving options for how to attack the lightly armored bombers. Gina Willis, Jerry White'22
