Vertigo

This is one of my favourite Alfred Hitchcock films and my old DVD is badly scratched from repeated viewing. I was very happy to replace it at such a good discount. The quality of the DVD is good and delivery was on time, as usual.

Video clarity is not good

I ordered this dvd and gifted it to my dad on his birthday. Unfortunately my dad returned it to me saying it doesn’t have any audio. I checked and really it didn’t have any sound. Only the movie was playing without sound. I have written to PRITAM MUSIC Pvt Ltd but they haven’t responded to me yet about returning or exchanging it yet. I was so embarrassed by this because it was a gift and now my dad returned it and I am feeling very ashamed about it. My advice to buyers is don’t order dvds online as ww cannot check the quality of the product.

Great service... super fast and product

I was told by a friend that I have to watch Vertigo. He was right. This was one of the best movies I've ever seen. It's a cinematic thrill ride. It's everything you could want in a movie. And better yet, you wouldn't believe that a film made in 1958 has such good image and sound quality, thanks to a 1996 restoration project. It's a must watch. The version I got was the bluray with a mostly blue and white cover. While it has all the special features and many language and subtitle options, the menus are a bit hard to navigate as it mostly uses symbols instead of words. You might be better off getting the version with the mostly black and red cover. But either way, you have to watch this movie. It's the best, I love it!

The movie is 5/5 of course. Unfortunately, on my (updated) PS5 the picture stutters for about 5-10 seconds at several places during the movie. All the extras play fine. And my PS5 plays every other 4K movie that I own perfectly. Alas, I don't have a standalone 4K player to further test the disc.

Als die DVD bestellte war ich etwas skeptisch, als ich den unteren Hinweis mit den schwarzen Balken las. Diesen Hinweis kann ich jedoch nicht bestätigen. Das Bild befindet sich in anamorpher Form im Seitenverhältnis 1,85:1 ohne schwarze Balken auf der DVD. Wer keinen 16:9 Fernseher sein eigen nennt, kann das einfach überprüfen: DVD Player auf 16:9 stellen, das Bild erscheint dann selbst auf einem 4:3 Fernseher ohne Balken, natürlich mit Eierköpfen (bei Einstellung 4:3 werden die schwarzen Balken vom DVD Player erzeugt!) Die Qualität der digitalen Ton und Bildüberarbeitung ist wirklich erstaunlich, so macht Hitchcck doppelt Spaß, deshalb 5 Sterne!
