Rico Royal Bb Clarinet Reed Hardness 2.5

A brilliant reed, sounds beautiful. The only issue I have is that it is just one reed! I couldn't find anywhere written that this was the case and as the picture shows a box I thought it was a box of ten for a bargain price! Knew it was too good to be true. Have now brought a box of ten from another outlet as the reed is so good.

I have just restarted playing the clarinet and despite having played to an acceptable standard previously I have been struggling. Having read reviews on reed quality I bought a Rico Royal and the difference is amazing. The first note I played was clear and easy to play. I bought a 2.5 which is perfect and when I get more advanced I will be ready for a 3. Be careful not to buy the Royal - it must state Rico Royal. My confidence has been restored!

In hindsight, I should have read the small print, however the picture of the product is incredibly deceiving after scouring amazon for a ten pack of this specific brand of reed. Never had a problem with the reeds themselves but it needs to be made clear that only one reed is being sold and not a box like the picture suggests. Not impressed since I have basically paid £10 for one reed (including p&p).

Lovely reed

I bought what I thought was a Rico Royal reed but they are now made by D'Addario. Out of a box of 10 I have thrown away 6 as being useless. Will venture back to Vandoren.
