K and N E-2985 Washable and Reusable Car Air Filter

I had only ever tried a performance filter in my younger days believing in the hype so I was heading into this purely as a expensive trial basis. Before changing my 2.0 Mini Paceman SD all4 was struggling to pick up speed in 2nd gear. My mini is also still a long way from it’s service interval but I have always changed the oils in my car every 6-7000 miles as you can feel the difference between old and new oil in the engine when driving. So when I had a look at the paper air filter in the car I could see that it was time to change the air filter and so bought the K&N filter. Installation is simple one out one in. After installation I took the car for a drive and noticed a difference in the 2nd gear pick up which had improved. Some people also believe that this could all just be in the mind of the driver so I also didn’t believe it to an extent. Having recently completed a 255 mile journey where I nothing but time to look at the MPG on the cars computer I can honestly say that on a long drive I noticed a MPG increase between 3-4 MPG. I believe that this definitely proves it the K&N filter works in my opinion.

Though this filter has given me no noticeable change in power, the environmental attraction of a lifetime's use, with 50k mile cleaning intervals and theoretically improved mileage are enough reason to buy a K&N filter.
