The countersink depth and hole depth are both easy to adjust, and yield consistent results. The option of using the tapered bits that come with the set allow screws to grip better, especially in soft wood. Overall, it's a very impressive tool that I wish I had known about years ago.

These are replacing a set from Rockler that lasted me quite a few years but ultimately rusted out and failed. I can tell right away that these have even better build quality and initial usage has product excellent results. Probably not worth it for the hobbyist, but if you are selling your work in any capacity, you can likely benefit from the professional finish these produce. For the money, they really should come with a nice case, though.

I've broken so many other brands. I saw many of my favorite youtube wood workers using these but no one ever says who made them. Watched soo many videos before finding out. They are not cheap but they are great quality. I worked as a machinist and these are well made. If you have a bit of OCD over your counter sinks being all the same this is so satisfying to use! The thrust bearings in the depth stop let the depth stop, stop rotating the moment it touches the surface so there is not the slightest hint of scratching by the hole. The drills are high speed steel, the counter sink blades are carbide.

In the world of tools, it’s hard to know what brands are good or bad without watching reviews or trying them for yourself. I’ve used a depth-stop AMANA drill bit for a couple years now and it’s worked great. I recently needed a greater variety of bit thicknesses, but didn’t want to have to buy and store multiple depth stop bits. This is the solution to that problem.Plan on swapping the center bits for black oxide. Besides that, they’re awesome

Used these tools to countersink holes in a couple of racks for vinyl rolls. It was easy to set the depth. The countersink did not get hot and plug up like others I have used. The non- marring feature is great. Just keep drill upright and let the bit do the work. No forcing, no plugging, and no marks. Just consistent professional looking results.

I received this item through Amazon's Vine Program in exchange for an honest review, whether positive or negative. As a woodworker with over 30 years of experience, I’ve purchased countless countersink and counterbore bits—probably spending hundreds of dollars in total. This particular bit is, without a doubt, the best I’ve ever used. It cuts exceptionally clean and precise holes, and the depth stop functions perfectly, preventing the bit from going too deep while also protecting the work surface from damage. The carbide cutters should make it last for many years to come.Even the uniquely shaped Allen wrench is a nice touch. I’ve never seen a U-shaped Allen wrench before, but it’s brilliant—I'll always be able to identify the correct wrench for these countersinks, even if it gets mixed in with the many others I have.However, the kit could use some improvements. It should have included a carrying case that holds all three bits, instead of a small tube that only fits one bit plus the Allen wrench. I ordered the set with three different sizes, and while it was supposed to come with three additional tapered drill bits, I only received three empty drill bit packages. That’s disappointing, and the reason I’m giving this product four stars instead of five.

The Kit was sent without the three tapered bits. The tapered bits packages were included without the bits inside. Very disappointing for such a large and respected manufacturer.

Amana Tool produces solid tools. I have a few of their shaper cutters that are top notch, as well as a few router bits. This kit is in keeping with my other Amana pieces. The drill bits are sharp and the carbide edges on the countersink bits are well machined and flawless. The depth stop and no marring attachments are well executed.Pics to follow.
