Important to ensure you always measure correctly
If you own calipers, invest in one of these to make sure you are not suffering any age or damage related measurement creep.I had a colleague who always professed that all calipers were the same, and that I had overpaid on my Mittatoyo Ip67 calipers. He had a sub 拢50 pair he swore by. After checking with this, it seems his pair have been reading wrong by about 0.1-0.06mm since he got them which explains a lot of mistakes when reverse engineering parts. If he had known his error factor he could have corrected it. My 7 year old ip67 calipers were bang on still. Worth every penny to prove that.

Excellent measurement standard
A nice piece of engineering with a useful purpose for those use and abuse callipers (Vernier, digital, dial reading) and micrometers.
