Is this product intrinsically safe?

Can this detect helium gas leak ?

Hi, thanks for your question. It will not detect helium.
PT330 detects Acetone, Acetylene, Alcohol, Ammonia, Benzene, Butane, Ethanol, Ethylene Oxide, Gasoline, Hexane, Hydrogen, Methane, Naphtha, Natural Gas, Paint Thinner, Propane, Organic Solvents, Refrigerants (contain propane in).

Can this be used if I don't know where the leak is and cannot get close to the source?

Hi, thanks for your question. TopTes PT330 gas leak detector is used to detect and locate the source of leak. Generally, the distance between the sensor and the leak location is about 1-5cm. You can use High-Sensitivity Mode to detect the leak. Once PT330 alarmed, switch to Low-Sensitivity Mode to locate the source closer.

Does this detect vaping and cigarettes?

Thanks for your question, but we are sorry that TopTes PT330 gas leak detector may not detect vaping and cigarettes. 
Vaping and Cigarettes are not combustible gases. 
vaping contains e-liquids vaporized under the heating environment. 
In cigarettes, tobacco leaves are burned to generate the smoke.

Their results are also not combustible. 
Vaping aerosols include nicotine, propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin, flavorings, and other additives.
The smoke from tobacco contains a complex mixture of chemicals, including tar, carbon monoxide, formaldehyde, benzene, and other carcinogens and toxicants

However, when air humidity is too high, it may trigger false alarms from combustible gas detectors.
Thus, it is not recommended to detect vaping and cigarettes with TopTes PT330 gas leak detector.
