Excellent gaming CPU, no slouch for productivity tasks either
Excellent CPU, great gaming performance, and the midrange King of Productivity. Typical of Intel, it just works flawlessly with everything, 14 cores & 20 threads deal easily with heavy work loads. Fast, 5.5-5.7 Ghz overclock, no problem! Efficient gaming chip, uses a little over half the power as a 9th Gen 9600k (that's with a 5.5GHz overclock) and UK summertime in game temps rarely exceed mid 50°C's. (cooled with 280mm AIO) Flexible, use with DDR4 or DDR5, so there's a wide range of mobo's to choose from. Impressive CPU.

Intel I5
Out of all the Intel CPU,s the 13th gen I5’s definitely provide the best performance vs cost, I use it for a bit of CAD as well as gaming and have had no issues.

Too good for an i5
While I've been trying to build a PC as a blender workstation I wanted a good enough processor that won't bottleneck under £300 as spent most of my budget on GPU. But it is way better than I expected. I am not rendering anything with the CPU and it handles complex geometry without hiccups. Unless you're doing complex simulations, I think it's a decent option as you can use the extra cash on GPU.

amazing performance for the price
specs:i5 13600KF2080 TI FE32GB 5600MT/s DDR5arctic liquid freezer III 360ASUS TUF GAMING B760M-PLUS II650W PSUI've had this CPU for a few months now and upgrading from an i5 8400 so quite the upgrade. This CPU is an absolute powerhouse for any AAA game. its perfect for a mid budget pc and can work well into the 4060 - 4070 series with little to no bottle necks. I have not tried overclocking or under-volting so cannot comment on that but it may help with the temps.my one issue which is common among the 13th gen is heat, hence the 360mm rad. with a 120mm be quite air cooler I was getting max temps of 90 while gaming even with new thermal paste, I heavily recommend an AIO 240 or 360 to get max temps of 80 or less.
