These bags are large and robust. We bought them for transporting garden refuse of the twiggy and branchy variety to the local dump. Our car has a massive boot when the rear seats are lowered, but filling these bags to the top made it difficult to get them into the boot - so check before you overfill yours. The twigs and slender branches did not pierce the very resilient material, and after one use still look as new - except for the dirt. Threading the plastic strip (to form a lip to stop the top collapsing inwards as you fill the bag) was slightly fiddly, but not a major issue. The extra handle at the bottom is useful when pouring the contents out. Indeed the council worker who stood immobile next to us as my 5 foot wife struggled (twice) to get her side of the heavy bag up over the lip of the skip was clearly intrigued in a rather detached professional way, being one of those fascinated by observing others work.

Good size, although I should have perhaps gone down a size. The bigger size though means that it will take a larger branch. These are not as big as a standard "big bag" and I can get two in my SUV. I have already managed a small tear in the base, as I think the bag caught on a piece of metal at the recyling depot. No great issue, but I would be careful not to drag these bags on the floor. A useful improvement would be some plastic / poly carbonate strips to the base for protection???

The quality of these bags strike you when you unpack them. They appear well made and look as though they will withstand sensible use. They were bigger than I envisaged and I suspect that if filled with anything other than very light material they would be too heavy for one person to lift if filled. Time will tell if first impressions are met after some use.

Really good product. In hindsight probably would of had the pack of three different sizes as they are a bit large for simple light weeding, but I plan to buy the 160l too and use the 500l as a central point. The look like they will be with us for some time as they are very well manufactured. If you have bought these and wondered where the plastic ring goes, through the eyelets at the top of the bag is the answer.

I swear that these are as large as 1 cubic metre builders sacks. I had hoped for 500 litre size, to make it easier to take garden waste to the local tip. These were just as big as the 1 m3 builders bags and therefore didn't fulfil the goal of greater manoeuvrability and lighter weight, once filled.

We continually use a large amount of these types of bag for light to heavy garden waste (greenery to small branches). These Glorytec XXL bags are by far the best quality and tolerate continued heavy use. I put this down to the superior quality of material but the jewel in the crown is the double-layered base. Yes they are not cheap but the saving comes with not having to renew them so often (I still have some originals from 3 years ago - impressive if you could see how often we use them). I no longer waste my money on cheaper versions.

Superb!!... just what I was looking for. These bags are excellent quality, brilliantly made, super tough with plenty of handles. Every Autumn we have a massive quantity of leaves to clear.. these XXL bags were invaluable... just wish I’d found them earlier!!

Just what I needed for shifting a lot of garden rubbish and keep neat inside car to the tip!Really easy as they are rigid and make life a lot easier.
