Baofeng UV-5R Original Hand held Speaker Microphone for Dual Band Radio

This is a useful addition to the UV5R radio for people who need to use it in a vehicle. You can position the radio wherever you need for best reception, then keep this near you for easy access.It's also useful for those with arthritis - the standard push button on the radio itself is quite stiff and has very short travel to activate (1-2mm). This is a much bigger and softer button, which makes it much easier to use for those with joint pain.

Cheap like the radio with poor audio quality, but it works Ok

Just obtained my Armature Radio licence and bought 2 f these to use on my UV-5R transceivers. Initial test from handheld to handheld were good so I was quite happy with the purchase. After about a week i joined the local net and straight away is was getting reports that the sound quality was barely readable and one of the group sent me a recording after the net. On hearing the sound I have stopped using the speaker mics and replaced them with a Wouxun Walkie Talkie Original Remote Speaker Microphone for KG-UVD1P UV6D UV2D UV3D 699E 818 Ham 2-way Radio, slightly more expensive at £10 but 100% better quality audio and feel more solid to hold.

good value tho I haven't used mine as yet others have them and they work really well

Fits the radio but a bit tight to push into the sockets, the sound through the Mike on rx is a bit tinny but on tx the audio on air is a bit louder than through the radio body.

Just ok

Very useful and works well with my Baofeng and Wouxun handhelds. Transmitted audio is reported as a little lower than with built-in mic, but very clear.

Seems to work well. Good price too.
