Brilliant! So happy with this product! Amazing stuff
I originally bought this product for cleaning bottom residue of my water distiller as the water distiller residue cleaners as advertised are overpriced (Example £9.00 for 500g) & this product is currently £23.88 for 5kg so much more cost effective & it works a treat. really brilliant. I also had a cooking mishap with my pressure cooker last week, forgot about my veggies cooking & burned the inside bottom of pressure cooker thickly black (normally if a situation like that occured I have had to use the scouring pad & hot water with some cream cleaner & try scraping if off to & hope for the best & put a lot of elbow grease into it trying to get it off). This time I wet the bottom very slightly & thought I'd sprinkle some crystals over the black mess, which I did, a minute later I got sponge & literally all came up, no scratch, no effort, no getting sweaty trying to get if off. I'm completely amazed, couldn't believe it. I'm so impressed that I just ordered some more from this company.

My goto descaler for everything, which lasts for ages, also a useful as a rust remover!
Update 2025 I've used up about 4Kg in about 3 years, include nearly 1Kg to free-up an expensive, suspension seat post in a bicycle frame, so I'm buying more again, to ensure that I don't run out. It's also a bargain compare to commercial rust removers, and tested to work well, unlike some commercial products. It's best to use full-length chemical-proof gloves when using concentrated Citric Acid solution, to avoid skin sting and smell, removable by rubbing in ample baking soda then washing with soap. -------- It is far more economical and convenient solution than supermarket and appliance-specific packets of descalers. Being food grade, it is safe to run through my coffee machine, put in my kettle, and put a water heater. It can descale my washing machine bath and toilets. I can scoop out as much as I like to clear stubborn scale, if it doesn't all clear.

Best for cleaning purposes
I use a mix of sodium carbonate and citric acid in my dishwasher. This product is food grade and cheaper than many other brands. Wouldn't be my first choice if I were to use it for cooking, but best for cleaning purposes.

Combined with Bicarb a powerful cleaning agent
Not just good used for food products. If the bath or sink pipes are getting clogged then putting a scoop of sodium bicarbonate in the plug-hole then a scoop of citric acid will produce a cheap and effective way of clearing gunk out of the pipes. Just run the tap for a moment to activate the bicarb and citric acid and it will start fizzing and bubbling up while it's breaking down the gunk. Doesn't seem to work so well when using washing soda instead of bicarb. The same bicarbonate of soda and citric acid mix is also brilliant for clearing a build up of limescale in the toilet. Big tubs of both items last for absolutely ages and are a far simpler, cheaper and more natural way of getting rid of gunk and limescale than buying expensive small bottles of cleaners with toxic ingredients to do the job. Citric and bicarb get top marks from me every time 😊

Great for descaling.
I use it as a descaler especially for the kettle. A lot cheaper than buying off the shelf in a supermarket and works really well.
