MDLUU Mosaic Gazing Ball, 10-Inch Decorative Gazing Globe, Glass Gazing Sphere for Garden, Outdoor Landscape Decor (Navy Blue)

The media could not be loaded. I don’t do reviews very often but this gazing ball is so absolutely beautiful, I had to share it. The color is exactly as advertised and just right for my application.There are tiny little blue mirror pieces in various shapes closely positioned throughout the mosaic-like surface. It catches the sunlight beautifully but I’m glad that I put it under a shade tree because it can be quite bight when it sparkles. I will try to update with a more close-up picture as well as a picture with the sun directly on it later.Note: If you’re interested in making things of a different style work together, this might help. I was a little worried that it was much too modern and intense in color to fit this rustic metal filigree pedestal that I got locally, but I think it worked anyway because I put it up next to the butterfly yard sculpture. What seemed to have helped was its colors. The rusting metal and blue blue on the butterfly are similar enough to the gazing ball/pedestal combination to blend despite the style differences. But I don’t think it would have been as nice by itself on top of the pedestal standing by itself because of how intense the color of the ball was compared to the faded stand. Plus the modern style of the ball wasn’t a good fit with the formal style of the pedestal.The moral to the story is: I guess it is true what the decorators say… if you really love something, you can get it to fit in anywhere despite how different it is from your style and colors. I adored this stand. And now the ball is also another thing that I now love. It actually fit my style and colors better than the stand did. The pedestal is more rustic formal and my style on the deck is more transitional combined. Out in the backyard I have an rustic farmhouse style with an English cottage flavor.By the way, my front yard is a little bit more oriental/tropical with a whole different color scheme. I like having different spaces to decorate differently, although in my house I’m pretty consistent (with the exception of one bedroom). I've had those candle holders for a really long time, but didn't wanna put candles in them. Then I had the idea for gazing balls! These worked out perfectly!
