Class of ’93 valedictorian Brandy Klark (Aubrey Plaza) wants to get “educated” before she goes off to college, so she assembles a “to do list” of all the sexual activities she missed out on in high school. Quickly realizing that she's way out of her league, Brandy solicits her best friends, older sister (Rachel Bilson) and burnt-out boss (Bill Hader) for their help and advice. As Brandy crams for her sexual finals, a supporting cast of horny misfits— an orally-challenged classmate (Donald Glover), a grunge-singing doofus (Andy Samberg) —eagerly offer their assistance and shocking mayhem ensues…

Adult Comedy
I typically don't watch a movie more than once, much less purchase them. But this one is a clear exception. I watched it at least 3 times on my DVR before I lost the recording. I was wanting to watch it again recently and came across it on Amazon Prime video where I didn't even hesitant to click "purchase" (not rent!).I love this movie. It's funny and actually makes me laugh out loud. Aubrey Plaza's straight face and dry humor is my personal favorite. The context of this movie is very sexual in nature. I would not recommend it for young audiences.

Hilarious
Raunchy sex comedy set in 1993. Absolutely hilarious. Kind of like superbad with female lead. Love Aubrey Plaza.

Teen girl explosing her sexuality with jokes
The To Do List is a coming of age comedy focusing upon Aubrey Plaza trying to explore her sexuality. It plays on the fact that men can be with multiple women and get praised for it but if a woman does the same she’s shamed and looked down upon. Of course she grows up in the process and discovers her place as a woman in the world. It's raunchy and fun mostly based upon low brow humor surrounding sex obviously. The cast is good with Bill Hader her burned out boss who plays pranks on her. Rachel Bilson is the mean older sister. Johnny Simmons is the nice guy that is in love with Plaza. There are plenty of others as well from Alia Shawkat to Andy Samberg to Christopher Mintz-Plasse to Donald Glover to Clark Gregg.

One extended joke which isn't funny
I don't understand the high reviews, I don't understand how this is supposed to be funny. It's just another teen sex movie, I would have thought with the quality cast it somehow would transcend the cliche, but there's nothing original or clever about this. The "good girl" exploring crude sex is the only joke in the movie, I'd expect better from Aubrey Plaza, Danny Glover and Alia Shawkat. I'd like to point out also, this was supposed to take place in spring/summer of 93. It just so happens I like the characters graduated high school that year. The soundtrack on this is horrible and wrong. No one was listening to the crap on this soundtrack at that time. Chili Peppers, Nirvana, and Pearl Jam changed the world musically between 91 and 93, yet this has "Naughty by Nature" "2Live Crew" and MC Hammer??? That garbage was done! Even the most basic of suburban kids were into "Alice in Chains" At this precise time, "No Doubt" "Blind Melon" and "Smashing Pumpkins" would have been having their radio heyday. This was a time period where culture was changing fast, the underground was becoming mainstream and the mainstream was desperate to make sense of what was happening, yet the fashions and attitude of the time here feels way more 1989 than 1993. Those 80's hang overs were tired and alternative radio hadn't become it's own cliche yet. These times were nowhere as boring as presented here. Unless you're looking for mildly humorous gross erotic scenes, this really has no redeeming value.

Unfortunately I didn't think it was funny
The trouble with this sort of film is that, to be sustainable it has to be funny for longer than the first 15 minutes. I am afraid that this film ran out of ideas and stopped making you laugh after about that time, as it just kept relentlessly going down a random route of sexual exploration. Aubrey Plaza deadpans her way sweetly through almost every scene, but it just feels as though you are doing the rounds of a sexual supermarket with a burdensome shopping list waiting for laughs/satisfaction that never quite arrive.

A Great Little Black Comedy!
A funny, imaginative and off-beat coming of age movie. I'd slide it alongside Igby Goes Down and Charlie Bartlett as a kind of culty black comedy, albeit more expressly focussed on sex than those two. Well worth a watch.

Brilliant film - especially if you remember the 90's. Loads of well known comedy legends. Hilarious from start to finish.
