Can't mix my powder without manually shaking it up and down...
It's really easy to use but the blending power is next to none. The cup is deep so I put 1 - 1 1/2 cup worth of powder, ~10 -12 oz hot water, and 1 Tbsp oil to make my blend. I started the blender, and except the powder was flying around in the cup, I didn't see anything else moving. So I picked up the whole unit and started shaking it myself and the mix started to move. Then I stopped the unit and check the mix, and sure enough, there's dry powder "brick" stuck at the bottom... I had to use a chopstick to loose the powder aggregate, then restart the blender. After few rounds of shaking and loosening, the blend was finally complete; the smoothie is rather smooth, very minimum clumps formed. It didn't really take that long, but the whole process was definitely more complicated then I expected. I washed the blender right after I poured out my smoothie, and the bottom was already stained with red from beet powder, which I can't get rid of. Maybe I'll blend half at a time, so it'll mix better???

I am shocked at all the great reviews, unless I just ended up with a particularly bad unit. I was not expecting much from such an "affordable" blender - but the only reason for my purchase was to blend a single orange a couple of times a day. Not an apple, or carrots, but a single juicy orange. An inexpensive blender could do that, right? Well, technically, it can - with quite a bit of help. I would have to cut up the orange into pieces and make sure some were under the blades. OK, I understand why that would be as it would need something to catch onto when starting to blend. But, then I would have to repeatedly stop the blender and push more of the orange down under the blades - have to do this quite a few times, mushing the orange into more juice as I did it. I have done this twice a day for a couple of weeks. When I look at the base of the unit, it has a lot of white, fuzzy stuff all around the base of the unit. There are also tinges of green. The white particles are coming from the white plastic base attached to the motor. The green pieces are coming from the green, soft material attached to the blender cup. You can easily see the wear of both of these on the unit, so I would expect it not to last long. It might have performed well if I had added a good amount of water or other liquids to it -- but my expectations was that any blender should be able to blend something as soft and juicy as an orange without it causing wear and tear on the blades. I would usually end up with about 8 ounces, and I did not want watered down orange juice from having to add more liquid. As far as the lid goes, I only used it to blend with. I honestly would not trust it staying on when turning up to drink from because it only pushes on without a locking device. That was OK with me since it made it easier to take on and off to keep pushing the orange down into the blades. Also, I would pour the blended orange into another cup. I will try a different blender with higher wattage - turns out this one is only 175 watts. If I try one that is around 350 watts and it does not work well, then I should edit this review to reflect that - but hopefully I can find a small one to blend a single orange! Again, maybe tuis was just defective somehow to start with? I had ordered the blue one, and I will say I think the color is very nice.

Definitely worth 20 dollars!
Amazing little blender. Used to have a big traditional blender but rarely got used, because most of the time I would end up wasting the leftovers. This is perfect for a single person or even a couple. It doesn't finely crush ice but what do you expect from a tiny blade? It can have a hard time blending frozen fruits but If you take care of it, then you can manage. This thing HATED celery though. I had to cut mine up pretty small in order to get it to blend. Otherwise, still an amazing blender! Very easy to clean, and to store. Although, sometimes the lid wants to hold onto old crusty crud in the crevices no matter how much I scrub it.

The media could not be loaded. Me gustó mucho, y llegó antes de lo acordado y lo que veo un poco molesto que hay que mantener el botón presionado durante el lucido de lo contrario se detiene, pero por lo demás fantástico. Gracias por sus atenciones

Worse than what I would have expected
I needed a simple blender for mixing basic smoothies and was drawn by the price of this. I had a basic smoothie blender before and it worked wonders for years, wish I could recall the brand! I also paid about $20 for that one so similar in pricing and I figured this wouldn't be much different. Sad to say this product has disappointed me. The power is not great at all and more importantly it leaks slightly out of the bottom. This long term will really bother me as it seems to collect the remains of other smoothies, and that grosses me out to see it when making a new smoothie after having run it through the dishwasher. Trying to negotiate a return is annoying to me so I will probably just buy something different. Pass on this one, even if the price looks good, not worth it!

I love this little blender
This small blender works just as good as my much larger blender. It can handle frozen food and frozen ice. It blends perfectly. I love that it is quieter than my larger blender. It is easy to clean especially since it’s lightweight.I was concerned that the motor would burn out, but I have been using the blender for months now and I don’t see any indication that will happen.
