Extensive topic coverage, easy to read, very beneficial to my daughters studies

This is a superb teaching resource, particularly for use by colleagues who are non-specialists, or who are teaching Sociology for the first time. Ken Browne clearly presents a huge wealth of subject knowledge, in some areas supported by his own academic research. He knows which topics will quickly absorb pupils’ interest - and those which will require more persistent efforts to master. His text is illustrated with clear graphics and amusing cartoons to engage and support the widest range of learners. I cannot recommend this book more highly.

Brilliant book yet again. My 3rd edition of this text, but this is the best yet. Well set out and covers all the information needed for the new style GCSEs in a manner that suits the exam structure regardless of exam board. The data is up to date which really helps and the style/structure/layout really works. This is a god send for anyone teaching sociology.

Used A Level book by same author for years. This fills a gap in the GCSE market. Layout and tasks suitable for all abilities. Love the cartoon pictures.

Very informative and easy layout to follow. I teach Eduqas and feel this book will be a great supplement to my own PowerPoints and notes.
