I live in an old farmhouse built in 1926. Since construction, central heat and air ducts have been installed. The heat and cooling enter the premises through floor registers. I had a lot of flying insects and dust coming in through the registers. I removed the registers and placed sections of the window screen in the register vent holes. The registers hold them in place now, preventing insects, dust and pollen from entering through them.

I put this over some vents and was impressed by the amount of dust it kept out in a few days time. Imagining all of that would have been in my living space. Very good product.
