Perfect for what I needed.
This plate worked perfectly to fix an external door where the mount for the knob had bent in, causing the knob mechanism to bind when tightened down. Looks awesome in black. I had to mount mine vertically due to my knob hole being too close to the jamb, horizontally it overhung the edge of the door. Keep that in mind; even if your door hole is too far over, you can still use this no problem vertically.

Old RV Door knobs
They helped to cover Square holes left from old custom RV door latches, and made it into perfect sized round holes for standard doorknobs! I didn't have to buy new doors! Plus the metal is very strong and easy to position and stick in place with the included 2 sides adhesive tape, prior to installing the door knobs.

it covered a major screwup
undershot a hole drilling for a door, off a 1/4 inch with whole saw. It looks good now.

If you own or want to buy a hollow door this would be a good buy.

Silver door plate
Works like a charm. I was A bit eerie about using this product due to some of the negative reviews however, this product was very easy to install. Fix the mistake that was made and added extra security.

FIVE STARS !!!!
Took my old ugly brass knobs, sprayed them black, added these plates vertically behind the knobs and ended up with a great cheap farmhouse/colonial look. The hole perfectly fit over my standard holes. The plate is super thin so I was able to use my same screws. The two way tape is super strong. I ordered the four pack and I’m back to order 5 more packs because I love the look so much I’m doing the whole house…

Worked great
My dad unfortunately split the door (old vintage door) near the handle when trying to make the hole bigger and we used this to hide the split and worked perfectly. Actually we liked the look better added some character!
