Whimsy Premium Royal Icing is fluffy, smooth, never gritty, easy to mix and you just add water. You may also add your favorite flavor and coloring. It works beautifully for making gingerbread houses too. Directions: In a large bowl of your stand mixer using the paddle attachment, combine 16oz of Whimsy Premium royal Icing and 1/3 cup water. Mix at low speed to incorporate. Adjust the speed to medium and beat until icing forms stiff peaks and is glossy for about 5-7 minutes. Add gel food coloring as desired. Flood Icing: Scoop out ½ cup of prepared stiff Royal Icing into a small bowl. Add 1 teaspoon of water at a time to create your desired flood icing consistency. Piping Consistency: Scoop out a ½ cup to 1 cup of prepared Royal Icing to a small bowl. Add ½ teaspoon – 1 teaspoon of water at a time until desired consistency is reached. Whimsy Tip: A great rule of thumb for flood consistency is to run a knife through your prepared icing, it should come together and smooth out in about 25 seconds.
