Package came with way more spike strips than we needed but no problem... we cut a couple of pieced to fit the top of our ring camera that is above our garage door and used 2 sided out door tape to secure it... a barn swallow was trying to build a nest and setting off the ring motion detector A LOT not to mention making a huge mess with mud... it's been 2 days now and the only time we saw them was their first visit after the install and they just fluttered around a little and were gone... would definitely recommend this as a deterrent for birds...

These spikes are firm enough deter squirrels yet safe and easy to install on wooden posts. Our squirrels examined the project carefully and decided to leave the new bluebird house alone. They have not deterred birds. I decided not to mount any vertically on top of post in case a squirrel tries to jump from a tree above. Want to discourage them not impale them.

I installed this product in 3 places on the exterior of my house where robins were continually building nests. Within 3 days after installing the spikes, the robins had figured out a way of piling grass between the spikes until he grass was higher than he spikes.

Some birds made a nest on a high ledge over my doorway. I wanted to throw the nest away but my wife told me let the birds breed in peace. They made a tremendous mess. Then they came back to do it again. Bird poop is like cement and I wasn’t going through this agains so I bought these spikes. Works like a charm. I know the birds are still trying to get up there because I see the feathers they dropped after they hopped back off those spikes.

Thought these spikes were the answer to barn swallows or similar birds building mud nests over our front door. Not so !!!! It didn’t deter them at all.

DON’T WASTE MONEY. POOR QUALITY I purchased 5 of these in July 2022 to address a bad raccoon issue in my yard. They worked. I had no raccoons, although squirrels walked on them like they were not there. I was pleased. However in 1 year I notice they began to be brittle from the weather and started to crumble. After two years they all have crumbled leaving very little coverage and the raccoon has returned. Don’t buy….DON’t BUY

The media could not be loaded.  i have put these up to get the squirrels to stop climbing.. they go right on these and don’t care / climb horizontally and vertically on them

These are easy to use and should work. They are well made. I wouldn’t want to walk on them!I was trying to deter squirrels from getting on a railing and jumping to a feeder.I zipped tied these to the top of the railing. At first they worked but then they just didn’t care. I don’t know if it is because we have very large squirrels in Ottawa Ontario. They are even fatter in the winter.You may have better luck with them.
