PS5 Plates: Hard, Shockproof Cover & Anti-Scratch Dustproof Face Plates for PS5 Console - Black

This replaced the basic white PS5 console shell. Both plates are really good quality and have a sleek design. Really easy to change parts and are of great looking with no flaws.

Being that my PS5 was driving me nuts by being my only electronic device that wasn't black, I was looking for a black cover so everything would blend together on my component shelf. Found this listing with a great price and a lot of positive reviews, so I figured I'd give it a shot. This may be the item that has surprised me the most out of all my Amazon purchases ever! These covers are absolutely beautiful and fit perfectly! This gar surpasses the look I thought I was going to be getting. The images in the listing don't really do this justice. Nice, thick material and the embossed graphics look incredible. The only problem I have now is I don't think I like having the PS5 on the component shelf with everything else. This now deserves to before up front from everything else so I can show it off! Couldn't be happier with my purchase!!

I bought a ps5 that was missing the cover off FB marketplace. I bought this to put on and it was super easy to install, it just slides right in!

Takes a little* force, brace with other hand while pulling up and pushing in the slide direction to remove(hook on the force end is at the logo on one side and opposite corner of disc drive other end), the hooks should snap out and slide right off, reverse line up sight down and slide until it snaps back into place. Not too involved just a bit timid with it because Didn’t want to apply too much force and damage anything.As great as it looks it occurred to me afterwards the system can run hot so there may have been a reason behind the change to a white base plate. Hoping the material of the black design doesn’t retain so much heat as the color would suggest (but don’t judge a book by its cover as they say, hoping designers/suppliers/producers used a proper material to mitigate heat retention-time will tell).Until I have a chance to really test that aspect I have nothing bad to say about the set. Feels solid as others mentioned, and love the design (just take extra precautions for the keep out of direct sunlight**)!

for the price compared to Playstations covers, amazing. easy to install if you know how. think plastic so it’s not gonna break easy and the style is just great

I received the black plates. Now first off it was a pain to get them clipped in and took a little finessing but got them on. It’s very sleek and the pattern is nice. Now they say anti dust…don’t believe that. They seem to collect more dust then the original white plates. They also say something about water resistant. Well I sure as hell am not going to test it lol. But over all the plates look nice on my ps5. I would have given 5 stars had it not been for the anti dust bs and the finessing I had to do to get them on. But over all they look nice.

The quality of the panels seems very good--at least as sturdy as the PS5's panels. The fit is snug and secure. I would really like the panels to have vents for the fans in the PS5, but I don't worry about heat dissipation any more than I did with the original panels. The look, though, is fantastic. The texture in the panels is very nice. I added a red vinyl skin to the center portion of the unit and the whole has a very nice Darth Vader-esque look to it.

Love these covers still have ot on and like the design on it. The color is good easy to install the price wasn't bad either.
